    Have the best of 3 worlds 250 radion Metal Halide 8 T5's combination of 3 and 4ft bulbs And 2 LED strips and a Reefbrite LED strip. Leds on first and last thing 12 hours, T5's 8 hours and MH 4 hrs a day.

    I have always preferred the sanded 2" plus. As this increases the surface area of the tank bottom so the bacteria allows time between water changes without to much worry of pollution.

    Really cool Harlequin Chris, I had a pair but they cleaned my tank of Asterna stars within a couple weeks then i struggled to get star fish to feed them. Beautiful creatures

    purchased it from Rickerman at about 6 inches and in 2 - 3 years grew into a monster larger than a football, ended up trading it to Red at the Coral Reef storea couple years back.

    Again a smasher I have kept but less colourful, I have had spearer mantis as well in the past and they were a zebra Mantis as picture attached the Peacock Mantis uses hammers to smash the shells of snails and crabs, where as the spearer spears the fish and hooks the prey .
