Bad luck with red sea....
Lately... had some bad luck with red sea alk test.... reagent was still within best before date... but had very poor color, and even worse color transition. anyways... i must admit their customer service is the best... i mean their service is right up there with KHG . they responded almost...- Luke_L

Plumbing in a QT /frag tang
Generally for me if the salinity and alkalinity and temperature are good then I treat it as a water change , I've never had any issues, that being said 30 gallon on my system would only be a 10% water change- Luke_L

So, been running the HRV for 2 months now.... it is set to run all the time, and furnace fan runs all the time... tank ph wasnt as drastic as i thought it would be. but the hrv brought it up about .2 (equivilent to opening the windows) i also tested the effeciancy it using my 6 temperature...- Luke_L

When you're branching off the main to run auxiliary tanks just remember to have siphon breaks... when power goes out and stuff back siphon weird things happen- Luke_L

MP 40 old style wet side backing plate.
Yeah it might be not worth the time... buy a new wet side for 100 bucks... I know somebody has done it though
