Update, so one casualty so far lost my coral beauty in the small tank with the anthias, clowns and royal gramma. tank looked cloudy so quick water change, dose of Alpha and carbon added to hang on filter to both tanks, water cleared over night fish had better colour and swimming a lot more...- Limey

Rookie brave is not the word as once i finally put 6 gallons of bleach into the tank the house stunk....opened doors and windows but the wife was not happy. the bleach smell will be with us for a day or two...LOL I was going to let it run for 48 hrs but I feel 24 hours is plenty as everything is...- Limey

So Saturday morning set up holding tanks and started moving livestock over. Separated the tangs from the smaller fish to minimize stress for the inhabitants. Sieves through the sand bed for nassurius snails and any sand sisters. Detritus clouded the tank pretty quickly, filled the tank back up...- Limey

Yes I was told 1 gallon per 100 gallon but after trying to remove the manjanos from the rock I realised I would need 5 + gallons. 5 gallons currently running through system.- Limey

So it has finally started...
SO!!! after removing 50% of the rock and allowing the tank to clear, looking yesterday the Manjano's have migrated up the tank walls. so I am safe to assume that they are now also in the pipework. Only solution left is to remove all the rock sift through the sand bed and remove the critters...- Limey

Sick fish?
Shannon we will all tell you to quarantine and what the best practices are. But in reality many of us just drip acclimate, dip in a chemical or fresh water and then place straight into the tank. Only advise for future is to inspect the fish very closely and try to avoid the impulsive buy. Also...- Limey

So it has finally started...
Today the teardown officially started... But first clean the coraline algae off the glass. Tear down is due to the multiplying Manjano's in my tank.
